National Parking Consultants (NPC) assists companies to assess their Fringe Benefits Tax liability in relation to car parking. They have been providing this service since the inception of FBT on Car Parking in 1992 and the focus is always on providing accurate and detailed advice. The reports provided by NPC enable clients to prepare their own FBT returns with the confidence & knowledge that they are compliant with all aspects of ATO legislation. Where it is deemed appropriate NPC are also able to provide a Market Rate Valuation report which complies with the requirements of TR 96/26.
The reports are a product of extensive site surveys of public commercial car parks in all capital cities and major regional areas of Australia. The surveys are conducted during the FBT year and focus on the following areas;
• Rate structures
• Operator/manager details &
• Location and other pertinent information.

“The information our surveys generate is recorded and structured into an efficiently maintained computer database. This allows us to effectively assess current parking rates and other vital market information.”

Graham Watson, Managing Director

• Definition of a commercial parking station
• Representative market rates and threshold limitations
• Definitive measurement of the one kilometre radius
